How to find an org admin

Certain actions are gated to your organization admins. This article explains how to find the org admins in your VCS. 

GitHub 

Steps

1. Navigate to the people tab in GitHub

2. Select Role filter as OwnerScreen_Shot_2023-01-18_at_10.03.21_AM.png

 

This will allow you to identify the users that have admin access in your organization.

 

BitBucket: 

Steps: 

1. Navigate to your workspace overview space and click the thumbnail on the top right corner and select "all workspaces"

2. Select "Manage" next to the workspace of choice.

4. Select "View access" to view a users permissions.

5. You may also choose to handle permissions using "User groups" (https://bitbucket.org/{ORGANIZATION_NAME}/workspace/settings/groups). Groups can help you organize workspace members, specify permissions, and grant access to repositories across multiple members of your workspace (More info here

 

6. You may also check permissions for all user on your plan by selecting "Users on plan" and "view access"  Screen_Shot_2023-04-04_at_7.40.59_AM.png
