Overview
If you're transitioning from GitHub SSO to CircleCI's SAML SSO and can't find the SSO settings in your organization settings, it might be due to your current CircleCI plan or user role. SAML SSO is available for Scale Plan customers using standalone organizations. This guide will help you navigate the setup process and understand the prerequisites.
Prerequisites
- You must have the Organization Admin role in CircleCI.
- Your organization should be on the Scale Plan to access SAML SSO features.
Instructions

Access Organization Settings:
- Log in to the CircleCI web app.
- Select your organization from the dashboard.
- Navigate to the sidebar and select Organization Settings.

Locate SSO Settings:
- In the Organization Settings, select Single Sign-On (SSO) from the sidebar.
Solution
If the SSO option is not visible: - Verify that you have the Organization Admin role. - Ensure your organization is subscribed to the Scale Plan. If not, consider upgrading to access SAML SSO.
Note: Enabling SSO may affect certain features such as the CircleCI VS Code plugin, the CircleCI CLI, API v2 endpoints, and Config policies. Refer to the SSO Overview documentation for more details.
