If you come across the above error, preventing your builds from running on CircleCI, your account may have recently been restricted as part of our compliance with U.S. export control laws and sanctions.

Our recent actions to restrict certain user accounts were taken to comply with U.S. trade control laws imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC) and U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which restrict what CircleCI services can be made available to users in certain countries and territories.

Sanctioned Countries

  • Crimea, Donetsk Oblast, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
  • Belarus
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Russia
  • Syria

Appeals

⚠ Ensure the organization listed in your appeal submission is associated with a paid plan, as we will only review appeals from paid plans. ⚠

In the rare instance that an account was mistakenly impacted and/or you believe that your account was erroneously flagged, we have an appeals process where you can submit additional information to verify that your account is not affiliated with a U.S.-sanctioned jurisdiction or otherwise restricted by U.S. economic sanctions.

If you would like to appeal this decision, please submit a response to our Appeal Form. Our legal team will review your submission and determine whether you are able to continue building on CircleCI. Once your submission has been reviewed, we will reach out to let you know if your appeal has been approved.

For additional question, If you are on a paid plan and have submitted an Appeal Form, you may reach out to us by opening a Support Ticket
