Understanding $0 Value Invoices and Correct Billing Statement

What Happened?

If you received a billing statement at the beginning of your billing period showing a zero charge amount, this may have been misleading. This statement was automatically generated by our billing system as a confirmation of your monthly subscription renewal.

The zero charge amount reflects the renewal confirmation, but it does not show the actual billing amount for the current period.

Why This Happens?

Our billing system is designed to automatically generate renewal notifications and display billing periods in this way. Unfortunately, we are unable to change this process at this time, though we understand that it can cause some confusion.

If you need further assistance or clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Understanding Your Billing Statement in the CircleCI UI

Within the CircleCI UI, under the Billing Tab, you might see a similar period displayed with a zero charge amount. This is a standard automated communication from our system and does not reflect the correct charge for the current period.

How to See the Correct Billing Information

To view the accurate amount billed for the month:

  1. Navigate to the Billing Tab in your CircleCI account.
  2. Click on the download button to access your detailed billing statement for the current period.
  3. You will see the correct billed amount listed, which may not be visible in the initial summary.

How to Download Your Billing Statements

To download future billing statements, please ask your account administrator to visit the Billing Tab in the CircleCI account. From there, they can download the necessary statements directly. At the end of the month billing cycle, the full statement, including all transactions for that period, will be available for you to view and download.
